Since my MR2 is currently without engine, i had to search for a solution to participate on a trackday that my friends organize every year in November at Portimão track aka AIA – Algarve International Circuit. Fortunately, RSR, just opened in Portugal 😎
After having so much success with RSR Nurburg and RSR Spa i hope they have success here also.
It’s called RSR Iberia and will be offering rentals and road trips in Portugal and Spain.

The trackday was last Saturday (29/11/2014) and i’ve flown from Angola on 27 just to go to the track-day and i’m already at Angola again since 2 of December :/
So I’ve rented a Exige 240S for 200km (1000€) and after 3 20m sessions in the morning on a wet track slowly drying.
What a car!! My MR2 is having the 2ZZ-GE treatment at the moment and this was a great way to understand what my car will be with 100 extra hp (or more….)
The handling of the car was very similar to my MR2 and i has completely adapted to the reactions of the car from the first lap 🙂
Here’s the first session with the 240S on a full wet track. Car was using rain tires with 50% wear or more ( Goodyear)
After lunch the track was completely dry and i’ve decided to rent the Cup 260 for 100km (750€) for the remaining 4 20m sessions.
The Cup 260 was on Kumho semi-slicks almost new! The car was glued to the ground and the lap times started to drop 🙂
Here’s my best one: 2:10:50 registered using Harry’s Lap Timer

Now I know how my MR2 will be in a couple of months… 🙂
